Omny co-founders Long Zheng and Andrew Armstrong were joint winners of the Victorian Young Achiever Award 2015 (Online Achievement Category), an award which celebrates the accomplishments of young and extraordinarily talented individuals in Victoria.
From the official Omny blog:
They received the award for their vital contribution to the creation of Omny and SoundGecko, as well as their own personal online products that millions of people use every day. We’re super proud of our team members, and we think that it’s absolutely fantastic that Long and Andrew are being recognised for their accomplishments.
The award wasn’t the only win for Omny this year – in March, the team debuted their Omny Studio product at the RadioDays conference in Milan, a world-first in its category which allows radio content producers to publish content online directly from their smartphones in just a matter of seconds.
From Radio Today:
Omny Australia is set to unveil the world’s first all-in-one audio capture, storage, editing and analytics solution built specifically for radio. […] The guys at Omny started with a problem faced by us all, how do you go from On-Air to online with your program content with ease?
A huge congratulations to the Omny team from everyone here at Adventure Capital – it’s going to be an exciting year for this company.
